Description: This series assists the mother-to-be to become more aware of her ever-changing body, to connect with herself and her baby, and to prepare for childbirth through the practice of postures, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques and the use of positive affirmations.
Benefits: The benefits for mothers-to-be are multi-faceted. Yoga poses not only provide physical techniques, but also mental and emotional preparation for birth. This series will help the pregnant woman develop strength and flexibility, coordination and balance, while assisting in relieving some of the pressure inherent to being pregnant.
Requirements: Approval from your doctor to practice yoga
Notes: Wear comfortable clothes, bring water to hydrate and a light snack.
