New to Yoga?

This is a great way to start!

Learn the basics in our 6 class series and experience the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of practicing yoga. In this series you will be guided into postures step by step instructions, provided verbal and hands on assistance, learn how to modify postures and have time for questions and discussions.

You will learn:

  • Basic Yoga Postures
  • Breathing Practices
  • Centering Skills, how to quiet the mind
  • Relaxation Techniques

When does the next class begin? From the home page, click on Yoga / Series Classes and you will see the next start date and registration information. 

What do I wear?  Be comfy!! Wear clothes that dont bind and restrict. Wear something that lets you move easily. Its not a fashion show so relax and come as you are!!

What do I bring?  A positive attitude. You can do this!! You may also want to bring water. If you have a mat, bring it. If not, we have loaners that you are more than welcome to use. We also have on hand all the props you may need to feel comfortable and get the most out of your practice.

Any other tidbits of knowledge??  Dont eat a heavy meal before you come. Meatloaf and forward folds arent a good combo. Try to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of class. This lets you settle in, say your hellos, gather props and shed some of the outside woes that may be weighing you down before class begins. Dont be afraid to ask questions and communicate with the instructor. She is there to make you feel at ease and help you learn yoga from the ground up and the inside out.
